NBF #192 Bills Sloppy and Unprepared for Season Opener
Monday Sep 10, 2018
Monday Sep 10, 2018
Going into week one, The Buffalo Bills squaring off on the road against the Baltimore Ravens did not seem to be a "sure fire" victory... The question is, did anyone expect the Buffalo Bills to look so unprepared? Fans of the Bills will endure just about anything, but there comes a point where Buffalo fans (of any of their sports), need to see more results and less talk. Many holes that were a concern, and not addressed for the personnel of the roster this past offseason; showed to still be holes. David Palermo and Mike Smith rant together on just about every topic this game could of presented, along with tying in prior predictions or now corrections of those predictions. There were a few bright spots, one being Josh Allen looks to get the Bills the best shot to win over Nathan Peterman's poor performance. Tremaine Edmunds was making plays throughout the game as well. Lack of touches for LeSean McCoy, and Kelvin Benjamin drops the ball... a lot... why?

Mike Smith aka @FantasySmitty, sets us up with a 2018 NFL Fantasy Football Season Primer. The podcast kicks off with a reset of the Peterman drama involved between host David Palermo and Mike Smith in a sixteen team leagfue in which Mike was hoping and waiting on Peterman for his sole quarterback spot. Is it an asshole move to keep three quarterback's in a 16 team league, or just plain stupid and lame? Drafting Players in tiers, a great philosephy as Mike shares some "secrets of the trade."

Prior to previewing the Bufalo Bills vs. the Baltimore Ravens; Mike "Fantasy" Smitty comes back, drilling host David Palermo on winning his bet of Nathan Peterman starting the season over Josh Allen. After waiting for a quarterback late in a 16 team money fantasy draft, Dave sniped Nathan Peterman to his roster second last round, and Mike was not too happy about it not having a qb drafted yet. The yelling continued as the debate of who wide receiver two will be; Zay Jones or Jeremy Kerley. With Baltimore Ravens cornerback Jimmy Smith being suspended for the first four games, will the Buffalo Bills be capable of exploiting this loss? Defensively the Bills look to build off of last year, Mike Smith explains how solid coaching from head coach Sean McDermott lead the Bills to many defensive turnovers. Offensively Brian Daboll will be exciting to watch, and settle many questions of how the offense will come together.

Finally it's time to look at the Buffalo Bills chess pieces and predict will all fit together for the season opener against the Baltimore Ravens. There is no better time than now in sports where optimism runs high, and new coaching schemes take effect, hopefully building on them for a sustainable future. This year Brian Daboll is Buffalo's new offensive coordinator, reports are the offense looks super creative. There's a few players that have been quiet during training camp, yet maybe by design. David Palermo talks through hypothetical uses of Jeremy Kerley, Chris Ivory and Andre Holmes.
